Visitor Questions
Q Please provide me with advice on the best way to remove pesticides from skin and body of fruits and veggies without weakening or destroying their nutritive value. What about using a vinegar bath?

We are not aware of any evidence to suggest that soaking in vinegar water or salt solution will provide any added benefit for removing pesticide residues compared to a thorough washing under running water. In fact, soaking leafy greens can reduce the water soluble nutrients in these plant foods. We do recommend that you peel produce (such as cucumbers and apples) if they are not organic.
